Various bus companies run services in and around East Sussex.
Chailey village is approximately 7 miles from Haywards Heath mainline railway station, giving fast and frequent rail links to London and Gatwick airport. The village is also about 7 miles from each of Uckfield and Lewes mainline stations, and approximately 3 miles from Plumpton and Cooksbridge stations. Burgess Hill and Hassocks stations are each about about 8 miles distant.
Gatwick airport lies about 15 miles to the north-west, and is easily accessible either by rail or by road.
