About Chailey Evening W.I.

We are setting off for our “year” (2009-10) with a slightly changed committee. We welcome Pat Eposti as Treasurer as our long serving past Treasurer is now our Outings Organiser.

We shall continue travelling, having this year ‘visited’ Austria and New Zealand, travelled in the past, and the future, on the Bluebell Railway. We have journeyed round the British Isles with the RAF Search & Rescue Helicopter crews, flown high and fast with a Captain of “Concorde”. For this last we invited husbands and sons to join us; it was a good amusingly informed evening.

We have not always been serious: a skittles evening shared with spouses, children and friends caused much laughter: a leisurely garden lunch in July sun: a visit to Wisley in late summer proved popular.

The programme for January to December 2010 has now been finalized – why not come along one time? We are not all jam and knitting; we are friendly and occasionally sing Jerusalem. We meet in the village hall on the first Tuesday of each month, 7.30 or 7.45pm.
